Cisco Delago displayed his class in winning the 1620m, Early Bird Cafe, $15,000 0-68 Handicap at Donald on saturday.

Ridden perfectly by Jarrod Todd he outsprinted his rivals over the last 100m to win by 1.3 lengths.

Purchased for a modest amount from the 2010 Inglis sales, he has now won nearly $40,000 prize money for his connections.

After being inconsistent in his early preparations he has now, with the skill and patience of Mick and Donna, developed in to a more consistent performer. He has now won three of his last six outings.

This was his second start after a spell and every indication is that he is in for an exciting campaign.
