Racer's Dream proved to be a nightmare for his opponents when winning the 1400m Stride, $15000, 0-62 Handicap at Echuca on Monday.

Starting a $4.20 favourite he was placed in an ideal position from the start by jockey Dean Holland. Sitting just off the lead he kicked on the home turn and powered on to win by 1.5 lengths.

Racer's Dream has had his share of problems over the last twelve months but with the care and attention that is the hallmark of the Cornish-Gaskin Stable he was back to his best. Mick and Donna believe that with the training and treatment plan that they have devised for him, the four year old still has plenty of competitive racing ahead.

Racer's Dream has now won over $41,000 in prize money for his patient connections.
