Moulin finally showed her true ability when winning at Echuca on Monday. She delighted her owners with a gallant half length win in the $15,000 Betfair Power to the Punter Maiden Plate.

Moulin jumped cleanly and was just off the pace early in the race. Jarrod Todd, riding patiently, had her in an ideal position rounding the bend on the leader biased track.

The field quickened leaving her about three lengths off the leader.

On straightening Todd eased her out into open ground, she wandered about a bit but showed her toughness when she dug in and started to reel in the leaders.

About 30m from home she hit the front and held on for a hard fought win.

Moulin earned a $9000 cheque with this win taking her stakes tally to $12,525. She now has one win and two thirds from seven starts.
