Back to Back - Moulin Marches On.

Oct 08, 2014

Moulin was magnificent in winning the $15,000, 1400m,1 Print, 0-58 Handicap at Echuca yesterday.

Moulin jumped cleanly from the barriers and settled in fifth position, she held her ground until rounding the home turn and entering the straight, Brad Rawiller, demonstrating why he is regarded as one of our premier riders, took the initiative and hugged the rails instead of following the field into the centre of the track. Under Rawillers urgings Moulin quickly put two lengths on the leaders and the result was never in doubt as she increased her lead and won by 4.75 lengths. She is a tough mare and improving with every run.

Moulin earned $9,000 for the win taking her total prize money to $21,525. She now has two wins and two thirds from eight starts.

Moulin is a four year old mare by God's Own out of Grand Vue.

Congratulations to her owners, Dianne Buchanan, Pam Cannatelli, Pam Taylor, Debbie Michael, Norm Gaskin and Bob Bird.

Our best wishes to Jarrod Todd who was engaged to ride Moulin but had to relinquish the opportunity due to a broken hand he suffered at Swan Hill the day before. We believe the result would have been the same had he been able to ride

We are fortunate to have Moulins sister a three year old filly by Astronomer Royal and her two year old brother a colt by Statue of Liberty. If anyone would like any information about these horses please contact us.
