In The Cash led all the way to win the 1500m Philip Hanna Tribute Maiden Plate at Berrigan yesterday. Jumping cleanly from barrier seven he was quickly taken to the front by jockey Nick Souquet. He over raced early but under the expert handling of Souquet he settled and held onto the lead. On entering the straight he raced greenly and wandered to the centre of the track, he was headed for a short time but vigorous riding by Souquet saw him fight on, hit the front and win by1.5 lengths.

A four year old gelding by Delago Brom/Nickels and Dimes this was his fifth start.
