Mary's Discretion showed her fighting qualities again with a tough win at Bendigo on Saturday.

First out of the barriers and under the urgings of in form  jock, Dean Holland, she raced to the lead in the 1600m, Signmob, 0-58,Handicap. Holland dictated the terms all the way setting a moderate pace along the back straight, on the bend she was under pressure from several horses but hung on to the lead. In the home straight she kicked clear by two lengths and when challenged dug deeply and held off the favorite going on to win by .03 of a length. It was an excellent effort by jockey and horse to lead from start to finish.

This win has taken her record to 22 starts, 3 wins, 1 second and 2 thirds. Her prize money now increases to $38,416.

It was pleasing to see that all owners were present at Bendigo to savor the win. Congratulations to Kaz, Norm and Bob. Congratulations must also go to Mick. Donna and the team.
