Piccolo Miss, a recent addition to the stables, had a hard fought win in the 1000m, Bench Mark 64, 1 Print, Handicap at Echuca on Tuesday. She jumped cleanly from barrier 3 and Dean Holland showing experience and patience elected not to enter into a speed battle but instead settled about 2 lengths off the leader. Rounding the home turn he asked her to quicken and under his urgings she took the lead and was never headed going on to win by 0.1 of a length.

It was Piccolo Miss's fourth race and her first win since joining the stable in October last year, she has now won $20,850 for her new connections.
