Platinum Raider had his second win from three starts this prep. in the Insite Real Estate Wangaratta, Class 1, Handicap over 1170m at Wangaratta yesterday.

The addition of winkers and dropping back in distance produced instant results. He jumped cleanly and took up a position just behind the leaders. A patient ride by Bradley Vale saw him settle in third place for most of the journey. On entering the straight he was eased off the rails and was able to take a run between horses. He was headed by the runner up but fought on strongly to gain the lead about 100m from the winning post. The runner up came at him again but he showed true determination to fight off the challenge and go on to win by half a head. He is gaining experience and learning his craft and there should be good times ahead for his patient owners.

His record now stands at 10 starts, 2 wins, 1 second and 1 third. He has now earned his owners a share of prize money totaling $32,070.
