An excellent ride by Jarrod Todd saw Liberty's Warrior win the 1400m, BM 64, Sportsbet Cash Card Handicap at Echuca yesterday.

Jumping awkwardly he was 2.5 lengths behind the leaders. Todd had to deal with him over racing early but was able to settle him in fourth place on the rails. He maintained this position until the 200m mark where he was eased off the rails, he kicked away at the100m mark, reeled in the leader and went on to win by 1.75 lengths.

It was a well judged ride by Todd and his patience saw him able to get Libertry's Warrior, who can be difficult to ride at times, home for a strong win. It was also an excellent effort by the horse with this being a step up in class and his second win in 10 days, it was the first time he has raced over 1400m.

Liberty's Warrior has now won $57,043 for connections. His record now stands at 21 starts for 4 wins, 1 second and 3 thirds.
