Liberty's Warrior was successful in his raid on the 1106m, Extons Bench Mark 64 handicap at Benalla on Saturday. 

Jumping from barrier 4, he was quickly in to stride and settled nicely in third position, ridden to perfection by Dean Holland, he pushed forward at the 400m post and sat just behind the leader. About 200m from home he took the lead, he kicked 1 length clear about 100m from the post and fought hard to maintain the lead, going on to win by a nose.
